Studies show that violence in video games has nothing to with violence in real life. People want to say that it affects small children. Almost all small children are violentl. It is a regular phase that children go through. A study has shown that most people who do violent crimes have less media knowledge than a regular person does. It's all about the kids, adults play these games too, but you don't hear about them because they don't commit crimes. "Juvenile violent crime in the United States is at a 30-year low." Says the study Reality Bytes: Eight Myths About Video Games Debunked. When is the last time you heard of a girl that has committed a shooting. a super long time ago. that's when. Girl gamers have steadily been increasing throughout the years. The media will leave out all the facts so it looks like video games are the bad gus. Studies show that video gaming increases had eye coordination, and our critical thinking skills. Most violent children have been picked on and miss treated when thy were younger. School is the biggest stress factor on children. The most crucial thing is friends. If a child has no friends in school they become solitary and non-social. Video gaming is over half inter-social and even when it is a single player game they have freinds helping and telling them what to do. Video gamers usually are not the most healthiest people. This would be the biggest peroblem with video gaming is laziness. Parents are the biggest complainers about violent video games. This is why all video games have ratings on them such as: EC-early child, E-everyone, E+10-everyone over the age of 10, T-teen 13 and older, M-mature 17 and older, AO-adults only 18 and over, RP-Rating Pending has not been submitted to the ESRB. The ESRB is the Enertainment Software Rating Board. They regulate all games and software so to not offend anyone. All in all video games are not the best things but, have not been proven cause shooting or violence in young ones.

I agree with you Mike, just because someone plays violent video games doesn’t mean that their violent at heart. One of my favorite games of all time is Gears of War 2 and I’m not going to lie its very violent and drastic, but that doesn’t make me have the urge to be violent or act out. The only violence that comes out of video games is when you lose and throw your controller half way across the room.

I do to also believe that violent video games have no affect on young children or their growing up years to come. I do thing that if you’re not at the appropriate age for a video game then you shouldn’t be playing it. But there are quite a few parents that don’t care what their young kids play in today’s society.
