Money's No Object!

I saw this article a couple days ago and I knew I had to write about it. Before I go into the actual story I'm going to say that a man paid $3 million for a gold iphone. Yah that's is a lot of money.
The article is rediculus! People pay so much for these uninportant things when they could donate to charity or something. People are selfish. The most expensive TV is $2.3 million becuase it is covered in gold, diamonds, and alligator skin. It is a PrestigeHD Supreme Rose Edition by Stuart Hughes That is just stupid to have that all on a TV. The most exspensive hotel room is a Royal Penthouse Suite, Hotel President Wilson in Geneva with a price at $65,000 per night. This is rediculous! There really is no reason to pay that much for a hotel. The most exspensive motorcycle is priced at $700,000 it is a Dodge Tomahawk V10 Superbike. The most expensive golf club is a Long-Nose Putter Stamped "A.D.," attributed to Andrew Dickson which is priced at $181,000. The most expensive car is a 1954-55 Mercedes-Benz W196 at a price of $24 million. The most expensive house is Antilla at a prive of $1 billion dollars. The most expensive yacht is an Eclipse at the price of 1.2 billion euros. The most Expensive speakers are Transmission Audio Ultimate System at a price of $2 million per pair. The most expensive ring is a Chopard Blue Diamond Ring priced at $16.26 million dollars. All these things and prices are dumb to me. Why pay that much for anything? These are things that people do not need these are all wants. This money could go to so many places where they need it. It pains me to see money wasted like that. I know if i had that much money I would help other people.

  1. The prices you listed are ridiculous! I feel the same as you, if I had all that kind of money I would not waste it on such stupid things! It would be nice to buy a new car and have some of the better things in life, but to pay that much a night to stay at some hotel…no way! It really doesn’t hit me on how much people can spend on things until I see the digits and read about it. I would like to see how the world looks after people spend that much on the homeless or less unfortunate. The world would probably be a lot happier place. Reading these prices on such material things brings my mind to how much people are being paid at their jobs. In one of my classes we looked at how much CNA’s make, along with other human service jobs, and compared them to what professional athletes make. Playing an entertainment sport for instance, pays a lot better than taking care of a human life. It is so sad to see what America really values more.

  2. wow after looking at these prices, it kind of makes me sad, knowing that people are actually going to buy them. Like you said, there are soo many other people in this world that need money and need help. Such as homeless people and charities. I don't get how people can spend money on useless things such as a three million dollar iphone. Shoot, if that person gave that money to a charity, that would have probably saved hundreds of lives. Some people are really selfish and do not feel that they need to help others. Like you said, if you had that money you would give to charity, i would do the same.

  3. I found this pretty interesting because now days people spend so much money on unecessary things. There are many people in third world countries that need more help financially and who are fighting for their lives everyday. I think that buying these items worth millions of dollars is pure selfishness and not caring enough for what is going on in the world. Celebrities who do give back and help suffering countries should be looked up to and people should try to take small steps to help out other people whether it be with their money or even just a little bit of time(volunteering).

  4. This is so crazy, but at the same time it is helping out our economy. Yes they could give to charities or other organizations but that doesnt nessasarly help out our economy. If we ourselves had an enormace amount of money, what would we spend it on?
